It’s been about a month since the last blog but that was because we had a lull in the goings on in the Apple world.  Thankfully, Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 is coming up on June 9, 2025. The big keynote starts at 10 a.m. PT. You can catch it live on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube. It’s going to be a blast, with online sessions and labs for developers all over the world.  

iOS 26 and the “Solarium” UI Overhaul

Apple is poised to unveil iOS 26, a substantial transformation of its mobile operating system switching to matching the year of the OS release rather than the direct sequence of numbers they’ve been doing for years now.  The update, designated “Solarium,” will introduce a revamped user interface throughout iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Notably, iOS 26 is expected to adopt a glass-like appearance, incorporating translucency for menus and buttons, and introducing a novel floating tab bar at the bottom of select built-in applications.
